The trip to Jekyll is a yearly February trip, and this year there are five sections: Hutto Farm, Out and About on Jekyll Island, Three Oaks Farm Trail Ride, Superbowl Party 2023, and Cumberland Island.

Add Doll Mountain to your bucket list. Be sure to visit Trackrock Stables and take a trail ride. Plan a hiking trip to Helton Creek Falls. Don’t miss Jim’s Smoking BBQ. And of course, go to Alexanders for just about anything you may want. All of this is in Blairsville, my favorite Georgia mountain town.

If you like to RV camp and you have not been to Camp Gulf, then you need to add this campground to your target destinations. Labor Day kicks in lower prices and a more mature crowd!

It is always interesting to check up on these two sites every once in a while to see how they are holding up and adapting as the years go by. For a little adventure take a hike through and enchanted forest and cross a couple of creeks and climb down to the bottom of the falls.

I rode a horse about 57 years ago on my first date with my wife at a farm at the base of Stone Mountain in Decatur, Georgia. We both rode the same horse. So I may need a few pointers for this week’s trail ride at Trackrock Stables. Trackrock is my favorite place to go for a trail ride in the mountains.
