The week after Labor day is a popular time to visit Camp Gulf because of both the time of year and also the lower rates. Most schools are back in session so there are fewer families with kids at the beach during the week. Camp Gulf lowers the rates for that week to keep the campground full. It is a much more relaxed time to spend a week at the beach and still enjoy plenty of sunshine. You will see a lot of the same people there year after year that week. We are two of them!
